“Jellybean Wine” is a catchy damn song, too. Though not nearly as wintry as this.

Bombadil — I Will Wait

As a child from the South, I’m a sucker for an old spiritual throwback.

I stumbled across Bombadil today. They’re a four-piece out of Durham, N.C., and they’re a little like a ‘necked-up Magnetic Fields.* The rest of their stuff isn’t exactly like this, but it’s great. Can’t recommend them enough. They released a new album in November, and you can listen to everything here.

Anyway, it’s a perfect song for cold weather and melancholy.

*this comparison will anger both rednecks and Magnetic Fields fans, but will probably make sense to the other five redneck Magnetic Fields fans
